Ace shooter Gagan Narang is in no mood to settle for anything less than a perfect score. After a record-equalling 600/600 in the World Cup finals at Bangkok recently, Narang has now shot a perfect 400/400 in the ongoing German shooting league popularly known as the Bundesliga.
What makes this achievement even more noteworthy is that it becomes difficult to concentrate during the German league matches due to the countinious loud sounds of the cheering audience, drums and the whistles. The league has a 40 shot format common to both men and women. Gagan shot the perfect score of 400 out of 400 leaving Karin Prediger no chance to win at all. Karin who is a three times German champion shot 396.
“This is not only the first perfect score of this season of Bundesliga but also is the first shot by an international shooter at the league in the the last 5 years, as far as my memory goes” said Gagan’s team manager, Knut Boettig.

Its plainly obvious that Gagan Narang has a world -beater and Olympic champion in him. We just hope he becomes mentally tough enough to replicate this form on the biggest stage, not just the bundesliga, the world cup and the commonwealth games. I think there is a strong case for a sports psychologist for the olympic sides
If you notice in the previous article about Gagan’s perfect 600, Gagan has given credit to mind trainer Vaibhav Agashe for his feat. I think he’s be doing a job similar to a sports psychologist.
